Queen’s Sailing is the only Canadian team that competes as a full member of the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA). Every year the team races in over 25 regattas in the highly competitive Middle Atlantic district (MAISA) against major sailing schools such as Georgetown, UPenn, Princeton, St. Mary’s and US Naval Academy. The team travels all across the eastern seaboard from New York to Annapolis and as far south as Virginia.
Queen’s Sailing train out of the Kingston Yacht Club which is just minutes from campus. Queen’s fleet includes 10 brand new 420s and 10 Flying Juniors. Members also train regularly in privately owned Lasers and Radials. Practices are held in the afternoon four nights a week until winter begins.
