Archery Club
The Archery Club provides an opportunity for all to learn or participate in the sport of archery. New participants will benefit from free instruction by qualified instructors. While this instruction is aimed at those who never held a bow before, everyone is welcome. Participants with their own equipment are encouraged to use it.

Badminton Club
The Badminton Club, currently the second largest recreational club on campus, caters to players of all levels from first-timers to provincial/national level players. Shuttles are supplied and a limited number of racquets are available for borrowing. The club meets twice a week and hosts two annual tournaments! Starting 2010-2011, we are introducing the Badminton Team Challenge, where players can form teams of 10 (5 male/5 female) and compete with other teams within the club!

Break Dance Club
The Break Dance Club provides classes to students who wish to learn the art of break dancing. Classes are geared towards beginners with no experience while still providing studio time for more advanced members.

Climbing Club
The Climbing Club is a great way to get involved in the sport with regular clinics for all levels - beginner to advanced. Members of this club learn how to climb different kinds of terrain (indoor, and outdoor on actual rock and ice). Outdoor trips are run most weekends with equipment provided for members. Members can also borrow harnesses for free, and receive discounted admission to the Boiler Room climbing gym.

Dance Club
The Dance Club is the largest recreational club on Queen's campus. This expansive clubs offers 30 classes a week in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, hip hop and Queen's own "cardiofunk". Lessons are offered at many levels ranging from beginner to advanced. The year culiminates with a large dance recital in March.

Dance Team
The Dance Team consists of approximately 20 dancers who perform at many different events throughout the year around campus. The team performs at all men's and women's home basketball games, at various charity events, and at the annual QDC recital. The award winning team also competes against other Ontario universities each year! Auditions are held for the team in September, and consist of jazz and hip-hop components. (Technical training is required).

Dance Pack
The 2008 Queens Dance Pack is a group of enthusiastic and outgoing women who will cheer on the Queens Football team throughout the 08 season. Along with attending all home games, the girls will participate in on-campus promotions, organize community events in support of local charities and travel to away games when possible. The overall goals of the Queens Dance Pack include increasing participation across campus and throughout the community, promoting team spirit and active involvement in Queens University Athletics, and the promotion of a healthy and active lifestyle. The team would like to hold an annual fundraiser in support of the local charity Pro Kids in order to give more children in Kingston the opportunity to get involved in sports.

Equestrian Club
The Equestrian Club offers English hunter-seat equitation lessons for all levels of riders - from beginner through advanced. Each semester the club offers a new session or riding opportunities and lessons. Each session includes eight (8) lessons offered once a week for an hour.

Flow Dance Club
The Flow Dance Club covers a wide variety of styles such as locking, popping, and freestyle not covered by the other dance clubs at Queen's, as well as intricate, girlie, gangster and lyrical hiphop. These classes are choreographed and taught in such a way to accommodate to any level of dancer. Our freestyle sessions are there to encourage students to express themselves through music and dance in their own way.

Figure Skating Club
The Recreational Figure Skating club has been established to provide ice for figure skaters. We would like to provide ice time to students, as well as the Kingston Community to help offset club operating costs. We are working towards being a SkateCanada sanctioned club.

Gymnastics Club
The Gymnastics Club is designed to promote recreational training for university-aged students who no longer wish to compete at an elite level. The club offers a safe learning environment with members receiving training and instruction under the expertise of certified instructors.

Haidong Gumdo Club
The Haidong Gumdo Club teaches the old military martial art from the Koguryo Kingdom of Ancient Korea. This club focuses on the sword and open handed techniques which make up the many skills of this martial art. With focus on meditation, breathing and strength training Haidong Gumdo can be used for basic fitness enhancement as well as self-defence.

Highland Dance Club
The Highland Dance Club teaches Highland Dancing skills to all levels of interested students. A Scottish tradition unique to the Queen's community, it is a great way for all to keep in shape and be a part of this historical folk art.

Indoor Hockey Club
Women's Field Hockey moves indoor once the OUA competitive season closes and this club invites a competitive group to train four times each week and compete in an exhibition circuit. Open to students only.

Jiu Jitsu Club
The Jiu Jitsu Club offers an enjoyable atmosphere for participants to achieve a higher fitness level while gaining valuable self-defence skills. Training is tailored to the individual ability of participants in a friendly atmosphere. Participants will see improvements in endurance, strength, flexibility and speed as training progresses.

Judo Club
Judo is a martial art created in 1882 by Dr. Jigoro Kano. After studying Jiu Jitsu himself, Kano created Judo with the goal of retaining the best techniques of Jiu Jitsu, while making a martial art whose techniques were safe enough to be practiced full strength with a partner. Judo is primarily a grappling art, focusing on throws, pins or holds, arm-locks and chokes. It is fun and safe to practice, offers great fitness benefits, and is a very effective form of self-defense. Classes are led by experienced student instructors, and we welcome both beginners, and seasoned Judoka to come out participate!

Karate Club
The Karate Club offers Goju-Ryu Karate in its classical form. Members will have the opportunity to learn a number of Katas which teach the importance of body awareness, slow, controlled movements and breathing patterns in creating force. Time is also spent training with partners to work on advanced techniques.

Olympic Taekwondo Club
The Olympic Taekwondo Club trains in WTF-style taekwondo, one of the fastest-growing martial arts in the world today. A Korean martial art and official Olympic sport, taekwondo emphasizes fast and powerful kicks for sparring and self-defence. The Ontario University Taekwondo Competition League (OUTCL) also holds multiple tournaments at universities throughout the year. Even if sparring isn't your focus, this Olympic style of training is excellent for overall physical fitness, building agility, balance, endurance, flexibility, and strength.

Outdoors Club
The Outdoors Club is one of the largest and most diverse clubs on campus. Activities include cross-country, downhill skiing, snow shoeing, winter, fall and summer camping, canoeing, backpacking, caving, cycling, skating, tobogganing as well as trips to Winterlude and Carnival. Equipment provided - open to all skill levels.

Rowing/Dragon Boat Club
The Recreational Rowing Club welcomes all levels of fitness experience and skill. All are welcome, whether you want to try out a new sport, or prepare for rowing at a more competitive level. Pick three days a week to come down to the Kingston Rowing Club. Meet new people, participate in weekend regattas, get a free t-shirt and attend an end of the year BBQ. The Recreational Dragon Boat Club is a great way to get involved in a fun and social team sport. If you are interested in getting a good workout, meeting new people, and enjoying 6 weeks on the water, come try dragon boat paddling. While this club will focus on instruction for beginners, all skill levels are welcome.

Sailing Club
The Sailing Club operates out of the Kingston Yacht Club which is walking distance to campus. This club offers an opportunity for members to participate in sailing in a noncompetitive environment. All skill levels are welcome and no experience is necessary.

Scuba Club
The Queen's Recreational Scuba Club has the benefit of being in proximity to Lake Ontario, where some of the best fresh water diving sites exist. The purpose of the scuba club is to provide a fun but safe diving environment at Queen's University and a chance for students with the same interests to interact in a social and sporting environment.

Ski and Snowboard Club
The Ski and Snowboarding Club offers members three trips each academic year to ski the hills in Quebec and Vermont. Regardless of skill level, this club offers wonderful weekend opportunities to get away and enjoy the slopes with your friends. Trips include transportation, accommodation, and full weekend lift tickets.

The Squash Club offers an opportunity for squash enthusiasts of all skill and ability levels to participate in ongoing squash ladder tournaments, special events, block bookings and social functions. Tae Kwon Do Club
The Tae Kwon Do Club practices the traditional Kang Duk Won style of this Korean Martial Art. Members learn self discipline, self-defence, sparring, meditation and philosophy as well as enjoy physical fitness. All are pursued at the members pace.

Tennis Club
The Tennis Club offers players of all skill levels anything from basic instruction to friendly competition and training. The club is split into two tiers to accommodate the needs of all members. Recreation stream is open to anyone looking to play leisurely while the competitive stream is for players willing to train and compete against other schools.

Total Martial Arts
The Total Martial Arts club focuses mainly on the grappling techniques and submissions of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Basic instruction in boxing, muay thai (kickboxing), and takedowns is also provided.

The Trampoline Club introduces students to the sport of trampoline. This club teaches safe trampoline techniques and works to create a fun and enjoyable learning and training atmosphere. Beginners welcome and all sessions are led by experienced and certified instructors.

Wild Water Club
The Wild Water Kayaking Club is for paddlers of all levels of experience. Weekly sessions in the PEC pool occur along with regular trips to the Ottawa River and other rivers close to Kingston. Beginners will have all fall and winter to perfect their skills before an end of school year trip.
