KINGSTON, Ont. (October 15, 2014) - The Gaels welcome Sherbrooke to the ARC for a triple header matchup on Homecoming Weekend, with games on Friday and Saturday at 6pm, and on Sunday at 1:30pm.
Queen's is coming off a bronze medal finish at the Mizuno-McMaster tournament, at which
Katie Hagarty (Aurora, Ont.) was named a Tournament All-Star. Katie andÂ
sister Brett Hagarty (Aurora, Ont.), both OUA East Second Team All-Stars last year, lead a strong Gaels sqaud with many returning players, including All-Rookie
Gabrielle Down (Kelowna, B.C.),
Niki Slikboer (Seagrave, Ont.),
Emilie Normand (Ottawa), and
Becky Wilson (Pickering, Ont.). Queen's finished last year at 10-9, narrowly missing the OUA playoffs.
The Sherbrooke Vert et Or are led by two time RSEQ player of the year, middle Roxane Hasseni, and First Team All-Star setter, Kim Robataille. After also going 10-9 through the regular season last year, Sherbrooke was knocked out of the playoffs in the RSEQ semifinals by Laval in three matches.Â
