KINGSTON, Ont. (May 9, 2012) - Fitness "Free-For-All" runs May 14 - 20, 2012 and provides you with the opportunity to try any Fitness & Wellness program being offered through Queen's Athletics & Recreation for FREE*!
You know you are supposed to keep active; it's good for you physically, mentally and emotionally. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to choose what you want to do. Maybe you have not done it before, or are not sure if you will like it, and you don't want to sign up and pay for a program that you are just not sure about. Queen's Athletics & Recreation has that covered for you, "Fitness Free-For-All"! (Formally known as "Shopping Week")
During this free week of fitness programming ANYONE can try a wide variety of fitness and wellness programs. Try something new like Piloboxing, Yoga Flow, Fencing, Belly Dancing, Muay Thai, Salsa Dance, or welcome back an old friend like Pilates, ball sculpt, boot camp, squash, or spin. Try as many classes as you would like, but plan ahead because this is a popular week of programs.
Fitness Free-For-All is first-come, first-served programming due to maximum program capacities. You must sign a waiver form and pick up a bracelet prior to each class at the information booth located in front of customer service in the main lobby of the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC) at 284 Earl St on the Queen's University campus. Bracelets can be picked up no sooner than 30 minutes before a scheduled class. You are only allowed one bracelet per person.
There are no excuses anymore to not try a new fitness program or to re-introduce yourself to an old favourite, Fitness "Free-For-All" has you covered no matter what you are interested in and at the price of FREE, who can argue with that.
If you are looking to get active again or try something new this is the week to do it, May 14 - 20, 2012 at the Athletics & Recreation Centre on the Queen's University campus.
All of the classes offered are a great way to have fun and to stay active. So bring your friends and enjoy some free classes!
