KINGSTON, Ont. (January 15, 2011) – For the second straight night, the Gaels scored six goals on their opposition, routing the York Lions 6-2 at the Kingston Memorial Centre.
Kelsey Thomson of Martintown, Ont., registered a hat trick in the win giving her 13 goals on the season.
Queen's jumped out to a 3-1 lead after the first period, thanks in part to the McHaffie-McHaffie-Cieslowski line, which chipped in with two of their three goals on the night. York responded with a goal at the 13 minute mark from Daniela Gagnon of Hearst, Ont., closing the gap to one.

Morgan McHaffie scored the first of three unanswered goals for Queen's, followed by Thomson's second and third, giving the Gaels the 6-2 win. Sister
Brittany McHaffie had three assists on the night. After combining for 10 points on Friday night, the Thomson-Conroy-Kench line had six points in the game.

Karissa Savage of Calgary saved 26 of 28 shots, plenty enough to secure another Gaels win. Her Lions counterpart, Sydney McMurter of Orillia, Ont., Saved 16 of 21 shots before being pulled in favour of Sydney Brown of Kincardine, Ont..
The Gaels (9-7-4) sit fifth in the OUA with 22 points, tied for points with fourth place Toronto. Queen's continues play on January 22nd in Windsor, Ont. against the Lancers, before heading to London to play Western on January 23rd. The Gaels play four of their final seven games on the road, where they are 4-5-2.
