KINGSTON, Ont. (February 6, 2010) – Colleen Ogilvie of Calgary had 16 points with 14 kills and two aces to help the Gaels sweep the Windsor Lancers in three sets in the new Athletics & Recreation Centre at Queen's University on Saturday evening.

Ogilvie also had three digs, while Nathalie Grey of Oshawa, Ont. contributed 15 with 13 kills and two aces. Queen's setter, Kristin Collins of Whitby, Ont., led the team in assists with 22.

The Gaels took an early 8-1 lead against a struggling Lancer squad. A late comeback by Windsor threatened the Gaels lead, but Queen's maintained their lead earning the opening set 25-23.

Despite strong hitting by Ogilvie and Gray, Windsor was able to establish an early lead in the second match. However, Queens used a 7-1 run to take the lead and the second set 25-20. The final set saw Queen's dump Windsor 25-23 in a close match.

Kaila Seguin of Windsor, Ont., led the Lancers with 13 points on nine kills and two aces. Windsor setter, Jillian Fantuz of Chatham, Ont., led the team in assists with 20.

The win brings the Gaels' record to 12-6 as they remain second in the OUA Eastern Division. Queen's is also undefeated in its new Main Gym of the Athletics & Recreation Centre (ARC) at Queen's. The Gaels conclude their regular-season this Wednesday (Feb 10) against the Royal Military College Paladins in the ARC.
