KINGSTON, Ont. (October 28, 2010) – Gaels' setter,
Jackson Dakin of Courtenay, B.C., had 28 assists and 5 digs to help the No. 9 Gaels to sweep the RMC Paladins in their home opener at the ARC Saturday evening.
Set scores were 25-17, 25-5, and 25-22.
Michael Amoroso of Toronto led the Gaels in points with 11.5, including seven kills, three solo blocks and a block assist.
Anthony Pitfield of Ottawa, Ont., also had seven kills in the winning effort.
Scott Wilson of Kingston, Ont., led the Gaels defensively with six digs.
The Gaels begin the regular season undefeated with a 2-0 record.
The Gaels next game is against the Waterloo Warriors on Friday, November 5, in Waterloo.
