Kingston, Ont. (June 5, 2009) Rugby alumni Sean Duke (Victoria, B.C.) and current Gaels member Chris Barrett (Vancouver, B.C.), will represent Canada and compete in international rugby events over the weekend.

Barrett will start for the Canada U20 team when they play Japan on Friday in the Junior World Cup event. Last season with the Gaels he tallied 29 points with the Gaels which ranked him third on the team. During the regular season he recorded five tries and helped Queen’s to an undefeated 5-0-1 record.

Duke will take the position of wing facing Georgia on Saturday afternoon in Denver during Canada’s opening match of the Churchhill Cup. Canada is also slated to play Ireland on June 10 and will vie for Elimination play set for June 21st. Duke played with the Gaels in the 2006 and 2007 seasons.

Current Queen’s Head Coach Peter Huigenbos is in Denver assisting the senior men’s national team with their preparation for the Chruchhill Cup.
